Emergence back into Society

I decided about 2 weeks ago to finally stop not doing things and not going out because I had to work , which has led to me still working almost as much, but just getting less sleep now.. oh well - I'm having more fun and enjoying life a bit more. Which leads me to the highlight of the last few weeks.

A college friend of mine (Graciela Arosemena Moreno - say that three times fast! - aka Chelita) who works for IBM in Miami came to Austin for a class last week and I took her around Austin. We had a blast hanging out with each other every night she was here! We went downtown one night and hit some places that were new for me. I was introduced to Tapas at Malaga, a tapas bar on 4th Street - very tasty food. We then went to the Elephant Room to chill and listen to some jazz - a bit smoky, but overall cool experience.

And on the car front, per Richard's request... I almost bought this on Sunday, but the history on the car was a bit sketchy and I didn't really need it - it was just another toy - so I passed.

Lot of 1's

So this is my first post, to my first blog, on 11/11 at 1:11pm - freakish. Anyway, I decided to join the crew of all of my friends who have blogs. I don't imagine I'll update it much, but who knows, I could get hooked.

I actually had a reason to start - the first official announcement of the project that has been sucking my life away for the past few months has been posted to the web, so I wanted to share - take a look.
